Scary Night...

It was 12:45am this morning when we finally settled down to sleep.

As we were snuggling... we heard some strange sounds..

You know, living in HDB flats, we always encounter sounds of falling marbles and furnitures being dragged? We always assumed that it's the noisy neighbour upstairs right? But how come the top floor occupants still hear the same kinda noises?

My father also has another theory that in between our ceiling and their floor there's a gap. Rats live in between that gap and cause all those "noises". God knows.

Well this one last night, sounded unlike those 2.... It was like drops of water... Sometimes one big one at a time, sometimes a few small drops. If it was the neighbour upstairs, the sound cldn't've travelled thru the thick layer in between. It cldn't've been from the opened window, cos that kind of water drops would have a different sound effect when splashed against the windows.

Zubair got restless... i was chanting the Ayatul Kursi in my heart amidst my grogginess begging for the sound to go away. Meanwhile, it kept coming thru in 5 - 10 sec intervals. Finally, Zubair nudged me and asked, "What's that VOICE?" Out of all words he HAD to use "VOICE"!? he could have used "sound" or "noise". It just got scarier then.

But i just motioned him to hush. We, Malays, call it "Celupar" or "fast-mouth" if you "tegur2" or acknowledge those strange happenings. Eg: when we walk along a "haunted" place or wooded areas, then a smell moved past you. Be it nice or foul smell, you NEVER EVER say, "HEy, what's that smell?" It's simply taboo!

Then we just huddled closer in the single blanket... and drifted to sleep.

Alhamdulillah nothing happened. When i asked Zubair just now, he said he didnt know what that was nor did he see anything or whatever.

Well.. guess its back to closed windows thru the night for me when Zubair's away :(

Really??? Hmmmm what could it be??? We didnt hear anything last night tho.

Then what did the 3rd floor neighbour say? They have children in the house too?

well i hear it on random times... not daily but i think the 3rd floor neighbour was more freaked that i was barging in on them at that hour so she just apologized..ehehhe at least i'd like to think so!!!

but the marble thingy i hear it at every flat that i've stayed in .. there must be a logical explanation then....

Okay, I have to comment this. True Is, that noises exist in every flat I've been in!! But Alhamdulillah, so far nothing happened. I'd normally just ignore the noises tho it can be very annoying lah!! Esp when Syifaa' is asleep!

Anyways, last Friday night, I fell asleep on the sofa at the platform area. It was around midnite. I was asleep when I suddenly heard kids' footsteps from the 3rd floor running around rite on top of the platform area. Hmm, I knowlah our 3rd floor has kids kan? Tapi around THAT time main2?! Tapi aku tetap tidur muahahaha.. sampai kul 3 pagi lak tu.. baru tersedar, terus masuk bilik. When I told mummy this just now, she said, "Maakk... kalau aku, dah lari dulu masuk bilik!" Hehehe

Wallahua'lam...

Oh... Mummy told me that several ustaz and ustazah ever said that those noises are actually mainan syaitan. So kalau terdengar, jangan tegur2.. Heh

Ca, I advise that you masuk bilik Kak Long lah.. kalau takut sangat tapi midnite tnite baru dia balik.

Heh

Ah yeah i had been ignoring it. So that's why we're not allowed to play congkak at night eh. I think the sounds given off from playing it is similar to "their" sounds.

Then were the windows opened or closed? i think the carpet's comfier than the sofa! hehe

I go to her room? She come to my room lah. hehe... or if not Syifaa' sleeps in my room. hehehe

Whatever it is i dont wanna know anything! *cover ears*

Those things that u hear are actually "Jin". My Ustaz often reminded us that at times, irregardless where u live, be it HDB, terrace or kampung, often there will sounds of furniture being drag, marbles being played...all those are from the Jin (could be anak Jin, bapak Jin whatever..)especially so in late night. Best to pagar rumah is to read 10 ayat Al-Baqarah -Basmalah+first 5 of Al-baqarah then ayat kursi and last 3 ayat. Insya-Allah...all will be well. Just to share2lah.
