Dear Readers,

By the time you read this post, I would be thousands of miles away. Me & Tufeil and my parents are travelling somewhere cool. We'll be back by Xmas Eve. I don't suppose there would be any internet connections there as our hotels are prolly 3-stars only =( (budget, babe!).

One thing I can't stress enough is how nervous and anxious I am about this trip with regards to how T will behave all those 10days. The last time we took a plane, he was one year younger, not walking as yet. Now that he can walk, talk and yet doesn't have a seat nor able to put in bassinet, I really wonder how our 7-8hr flight will be. Both to and fro flights are through the night, so hopefully that should help him to "sleep".

I just went back from the money changer. I really really don't have a knack for currency exchange, man. Call myself analytical and strong in numbers. Aiyooo!! What I don't understand is: if i wanna change SGD to USD, would a 1.301 rate be better than 1.308? I really couldn't grasp the concept, I just went to the counter will least queue. BHAHAHAHAHA!! PLUS! I also print out Oanda's Traveller's cheatsheet.

So, I see you all in 2 weeks time, i suppose. Hope to bring back LOADSSSS of pictures!

Ok i've noticed the difference in the comments section quite some time ago. It now shows you from which post a comment is from. Like DUH! Why didn't they have it before? SIOW. It showed in email tho but not at dashboard.

Pages ala wordpress are also now available. When it wasn't available, I hated blogger. Now that it's here, I can't think of a use for them!

But i've only just seen the STATS tab. HOORAYYY!!! I LOVE STATS. I want to know how many pple read my site a day, a week. During the last Long Hari Raya weekend, readership halved. I'm guessing many pple were out and about as was I. I like knowing pple from other countries also read my blog.

Ever since I cldn't figure out how to put the Nuffnang banner in my latest background template, I missed out knowing what pple had been searching for when they landed on my site. But it's back here! And this week, somebody searched "Kak Ly and Abg fai"? Who did that?

So anyways, Good Job Blogger. Towards better improvements!

birthday.

I found this lovely website while researching "Baby Ate styrofoam". It's exactly what kinda blog i wanna read but difficult to find. A working mother with a toddler who's still breastfeeding and has trouble with sleeping thru the night.

Oh yah Tufeil ate a bit of styrofoam yesterday. We had my mum's siblings over at our place. I was feeding him some rice while being seated in my lap facing outward. I managed to grab my cousin's cup beside him. I let him played with it for awhile. Then i realised a bit of the cup was chipped! And then i looked at him at saw him chewing. Tried to pry my finger in but he just wont let it it! He gagged, i patted his back.

I thought the episode was over then i saw him chewing again and i hadn't given him anymore food yet. I rushed to my mum's side and got her to sweep his mouth. Only a few made it out. =( But he was active throughout the day so I was not quite worried until when he got to bed and fussing and fussing... My google search said it should be ok lah insya'Allah.

I soooo sucked at parenting, I think. I know NUTS about First Aid nor Safety first. For example:

1. I obviously let my child play w styrofoam. Duh
2. I ever led Syifaa' to a fall when i opened the car door when her hands were pressed to the windows!
3. I gave in and did not "scold" Tufeil much. I mean I let him play with CDs and virtually anything he wants.
4. I ever bumped his upper eye hit my table when I was trying to put his diaper on.
5. I won't know what to do if he falls. I mean My mum would rub her hair on my bump, whereas me, I can't even identify the hurt area in the first place. Although, i would carry and kiss him lots.

And many more i just can't remember right this moment. One thing I do know is that... I LOVE HIM LOTS. I've never been one to gush about babies. Heck I didnt even know how to carry one. But after Tufeil's arrival, it's like a whole other world opened up to my eyes. I see babies everywhere and just wanna kiss every single one of them. LOL.

Has it been just 491 days, though? It felt like forever! and I hope it won't take another thousand days for him to be independent enough then I can be let off a bit... At the very least I hope to wake up late on a weekend? Pretty please?

Oh Gosh after exactly one month after my D&D chaos, then i have some breather to blog. And that is to say...

I have no social life. Mostly i just tag along with my parents.

Let's see... the last time i hung out with my friends... i asked my parents along. Last night, we had dinner @ Jln Kayu's Mad Jack with parents and Ash. This weekend, i asked if i can tag along to my mum's school reunion! KAH KAH KAH KAH.

It doesn't help that my iPhone does not inspire me to take photos that can translate to bloggable topic. Cos u see right now, im just spewing empty bullets every way i can.

Tufeil Visited My Office last Tuesday during lunch.

My parents and T picked me up at 12nn to go to Arab St to get cloth material for Hari Raya. And i blew $120 and am now extremely broke. Dad had to go back to work so i begged mummy to stop by the office cos my colleague who declared herself Tufeil's Godmother wanted to see him.

It was like working the runway the way i was holding his hands and showing him around. He's not exactly friendly to strangers but managed to salam (shake hands) with that new Tunisian Muslim lady colleague. So she gave him a sweet. How sweet.

The funny part was... she asked if Tufeil's talking already... and out of confusion, nervousness and whatever else i was feeling at that time, i answered, "err.. Not much." When actually Tufeil is babbling and babbling allllllll the time! Like as though he is really trying to make a point in baby lang.

Arghh i can't better tell you how elated i felt from that experience. Damn if only i have some photos!

There have been many times when i'm alone at home feeling stranded and bored. Or when im out and about - with my parents - I feel like i need to step up and be a mother. Independently. Without any help. I longggg to go somewhere that both Tufeil and I can bond and just enjoy each other's company.

Well yeah we always go for lunch / dinner at Causeway Point or library alone but i think that doesn't count. I was thinking of like some sort of an adventure or learning curve. Do they have baby & mummy cooking lessons anywhere?

I mean i see all these mothers doing art & craft things with their toddlers. That is just... AMAZING! I want that. Minus the mess.

I think i wanna go google for something. So ta for now~

2. Purple design with Handphone and Computer pictures which is what i'm sooo into right now! (Just bought a new pc!!!!! Eyeing a new hp next)
3. Big Bubble to show how many comments. Not that many pple drop comments, but still!
4. Purple footnote at the end of each entry to indicate post date n time as well as labels. Clearly distincting the next entry.

Just two things i tot they could improve and if somebody can help me adjust these??

1. TOO BIG FONTS on right hand column
2. Hidden Blogger taskbar! I've already checked the layout and i picked the colour already but it wont come out! I think its in the script?

Ok i doubt i'll get to sit at the computer for long. So for the most part, i can only tweet. So check it out.

I'm all ready now to go out to JWT Kids Gym with SAHM Nan. Just waiting for Tufeil to wake up.

Wah, although i'm alone at home now, not even with maid, I can handle things pretty well. Way to go, Jus!

ANyway, i'm having a HEADACHE with these blog templates.

The other time i got a nice orange template all set and lovely... BUT there were a few flaws, that is they didn't insert the code/design for Bullet points (prolly for quotes too) and they didn't have the blogger Dashboard header, and when i inserted codes for my Nuffnang Ads/Counter, it doesn't appear!

This current one is too cramped. So i'm still on the hunt for the PERFECT one. So God Help Me.

Just got back from 3D2N of Melaka late last night. So very sleepy now. Would have posted pictures already but forgot my hp back at home.

No internet @ home till Fri.

and now as the title goes... If it were a holiday today... i would be:

1. Sleeping @ home
2. Watching a few DVDs
3. but mainly i just wanna stay in bed and watch my tummy move.

Baby has been a bit out of action all thruout my melaka holiday. Worried me so much. The minute i stepped on my country soil, he started his kicking already. maybe he was feeling too sombre to gear up any strength to kick me. Either that or he's not hungry enough to nudge me to eat since i was STUFFED thruout the vacation. LOL

But too busy at work... too lazy at home. Hehe..

I wanna write about my day at ODAC (Obstretics Day Care) where i learnt SO MUCH last Fri!!

Also how Z entertained a guy friend of mine at home.

As well as about the only 2nd birthday present i've got!

Tmrw, my dept ceased to be a wing of the parent company but will be registered as its own company and w our HQ being in Paris.

As such, i have lotsa and lotsa and lotsa things to do!

Yesterday it was resettling into our newly renovated office.

Today meeting occupied half of my day.

Result = no post until later.

I didnt anticipate that the story for my MSK entry could get so much attention and spread like wildfire!

I got 1300 hits yesterday and a further 200 this morning.

To that end, Z and i both agreed that it could be dangerous for us and hence deleted the entry. But the damage is already done. Some bloggers cut and pasted my entry, others print-screened my page, and besides they can still read the cache.

My story is first and a half hand actually.. while i have relayed it as how i had heard it, there's no knowing the authenticity for i didnt see it myself.

And the fact that the media didn't catch the news gave me something to think about. it could be:

1. in the end, it's not him, but my cousin wasnt told
2. the police specifically told them not to release it

and look what i've done! *shake head*

I won't even ping this entry to ping.sg immediately i think.
