As of today 5th Dec, 4pm, the countdown to Zubair's flight back to Pakistan is 3 days 23hrs!!
So, we kinda busied ourselves seeing Singapore again.
Before that, first stop, FIG & OLIVE. We were both ravenous and i allowed ourselves to indulge a bit and at the same time, got to test my CitiBank Clear Card! :D
Our hungry faces
Their Sicilian Tuna Penne is sooo my current fav!!
Their CRISPY waffles fries are to DIE for!
(Metaphorically speaking of cos)
He needs to go to toilet, so we went back to MY office. Mathieu was still in office but left soon after and we had the whole office to ourselves to camwhore!! hahaha
My Super Mentel (no translation available. LOL) Pose
Zubair at work! :D
After that, we had a mission. To find this club to play Soft Tip eDarts. Hanani actually went to one with her colleagues but she cant recall the name nor add, so gave me an add of another nearby place with the same game.
It's located at 45A Neil Road. So we walked down MND and URA, then walked into Murray Street and lost our bearing and consulted the map. After determining where's the MRT and Maxwell house, we headed towards Maxwell road and then realised that we had to turn back to Tg Pagar Rd when we had passed there already! Crossed over and finally found Neil Road!
Zubair commented that finding a place on foot is more troublesome. In a way, i get what he means in the sense that it takes a long time to reach some place on foot as opposed to being on a motorised vehicles. But then my view is that in a car, its more difficult to make a quick spontaneous decision while on the move. And then if you're parked, u wldn't see the landmark to visualise the place or whatever.
Anywaysssss Neil Road was sooooo scary!! At least for this tudung clad ME. FULL of neon lighted signs, logos of beers and bulky men loitering around (they are actually valets). It was almost 8pm i think and dark as can be... so i said to Zubair, lets go to another place. and he said Boat Quay.. ok we walked all the way down Tg Pagar Rd to the food center... then Fuji Xerox towers then finally to the bus stop to go to Boat Quay. I dont know how far 100m equates to on real land so i cant gauge how far we walked but simply put, MY FEET WERE HURTING BIG TIME! Furthermore, i had the wrong shoes on! GRRRR Fortunately, i have Zubair's hands to hold on to. *wink*
It was here that we truly... hang out. We just sat on the bridge, catching the breeze, looking at the boats, waving at tourists and just ... chilled. It was REALLY nice not to just TALK to him but to actually hear HIM talk.
We got to counting how tall the UOB building is. He came to a 60 odd figure. and then he wondered out loud, "How long do you think it takes for ALL the shit to travel down from 60th floor?" As if that wasnt enough, he added, "Imagine all the stools break into pieces as they succumb to gravity!" NONSENSE! I love You! LOL
We then walked the length down the museum and parliament house then turned back along Boat Quay back to Raffles MRT. If not for the simple reason that Zubair was there to support me, the walk was just TORTUROUS!! But anyways, it just struck us that we've never actually taken any photos IN the train nor at the station. Camwhoring again!

In one of the newer sets of trains
We reached Woodlands 10:40pm. But that's not the end of the night for us yet. I just cldn't stop myself from stuffing him with local food.
It's Otak-otak!
Literally it means BRAIN. But we didnt use ANY brain at all in this. Its actually fish paste + chilli stuffed in two coconut leaves and then grilled / smoked to perfection. it's just delish!
2 glasses of Juice:
boat quay was a great hang out choice congrats! i love it, esp on the other side where the museum is, and not the same side as all the pubs... quiet, romantic, and very serene :)
Thanks. Yeah i told him boat quay is very nice but i really wldn't know where to "sit n hang out" at ORchard. Like there's only buildings everywhere?
Yeah the museum is much nicer. That night there was this couple. they were facing each other but the girl's head was down. she was crying!
