My bread pudding failed miserably. It tasted quite bitter on its own tho the sauce is not too shabby.
This is the actual recipe.
Ingredients:
2 cups whole milk (or 2 cups half & half)
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup brown sugar (light or dark, depending on taste preference)
3 eggs
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups bread, torn into small pieces (french bread works best)
1/2 cup raisins (optional
Before
After
I suspect it failed due to one or more of the following reasons:
1. I was short of 1 egg
2. Half of the milk is actly expressed breastmilk
3. I may have burnt the milk while melting the butter?
4. I forgot to wash the brand new baking dish before i dumped the ingredients in?
5. I used vinilin powder instead of extract? But i used this alt on my sarang semut n it worked fine.
6. I didnt have nutmeg. But i saw other recipes tt omit this ingredient.
In short: i binned the whole thing and resolved to try again with fresh milk. That IS the same as whole milk right? God im such a novice its sickening!

hi Julissa,
i have a simplier recipe.
ni resipi dia :
ingredients (bread pudiing):
6 or more slices bread
2 tablespoon butter - melted (yg senang, cairkan/panaskan kat kuali sebelum tuang kat roti, kasi cair sampai macam air)
1/2 cups raisins (optional)
4 egs beaten (pukul dulu sebelum campur kat bahan)
2 cups milk (pakai ukuran measuring cup yg besar, bukan cawan minum air)
3/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
directions :
Preheat oven to 350 deg Fareinheit (175 deg Celsius)
Break bread into small pieces into an 8 inch square baking pan. Drizzle melted butter or margarine over bread. If desired sprinkle with raisins.
In a medium bowl, combine eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon & vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Pour over bread, and lightly push down with fork until bread is covered and soaking up the egg mixture.
bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top springs back when lightly tapped.
