Picture Recipe - Chocolate Cornflakes

Finally Kak Long and i got started on making some kuih (cookies or cakes).

It's sooo simple, Hid, you can make this also. Doesn't even require baking!

First of All: Lay out the trays, 1 container, and 1 box of cornflakes.

Then cut Chocolate Bar and Butter to small pieces.

Double Boil them piece by piece at a ratio of about 2 : 5 (butter : chocolate) or depending on ur tolerance of lemak-ness / butter.

To double boil, We just fill the pot with water, put a bowl on top of it and melt those chunks on to the bowl!

In the meantime, lay out the cups.

Mix the melted Chocolate and Butter well with the cornflakes pouring the liquid little by little. Stir carefully as to not break the flakes!

Then use hands to put the flakes in the cup, just like that.

Let them cool and stick together and store!

It's THAT simple!!

We used to make these when I was a child at Easter time. We would make a well in the middle so they look like nests and then put sweets in the middle which were shaped like eggs with chocolate in the middle and a candy shell. Really nice, haven't had one in years.

Wah really? Now that's something in common in two very diff cultures! I only know of easter eggs before.
